Founder of Bay Babes
Bay Babes was founded in 2006 by Sutherland Shire local, Chris Callinan. Very modest by nature, Chris would credit the success of Bay Babes to all the wonderful helpers, volunteer bus co-ordinators, sponsors, participants and their extended families. The truth is, none of this would be possible without all of these people!

I wanted to thank you for the lovely hamper I received through a friend of my sister’s from Bay Babes.
I feel a little unworthy because my journey started quite a long time ago and although it has metastised over recent years is under control with medication and injections.
I will never forget that moment of diagnosis and the feeling of helplessness in coming to terms with your own mortality.
It is wonderful that you are giving your time and providing the hampers to support women going through their journey because it can feel a very lonely one at times. .even with a loving family around you.
I feel fortunate and very grateful every day that I can still enjoy the love of my family and friends and revel at times in the most simplest joys in life.

Hi Ladies, just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful hamper that I received yesterday. The gifts just kept coming out of the lovely bag.
I am sure you all know what it’s like not feeling normal, and to have these lovely things around you, lets you know others are thinking of you and understanding what you are going through.
My granddaughter recently took me to Woollies and I told her I am so excited to be going there and not just another medical appointment. I suppose it’s just part of the process.
I do hope to catch up with your group soon, and would like to know, what I could do to help if only in a small way for a while.
I have a walking group that has been going for almost 17 years, and I am sure one or more of them organised this hamper,
I think in the New Year we are going to something to raise money, or help in other ways.

Last week my friend Kym surprised me with the wonderful Recovery Hamper. To say it made my day is an understatement. I was blown away with the gift I received and am so grateful for your generosity.

I wanted to thank Bay Babes for the care package. I live in The Shire but had not heard of your charity until now.
I was nominated by a lovely lady called Sharon, whom I met at the Look Good Feel Better workshop this month. I have since found out that 2 ladies I know were at your charity event on the 14th. I hope I can support this event next year.
Last Saturday, I found out another lady I know in Cronulla was diagnosed with breast cancer…that is now 4 of us out a group of 7 women that met when our girls started school.
If I may, I would like to pay it forward by nominating this lady.
