Founded in 2006, Bay Babes is a non profit organization based in the Sutherland Shire.
“Our aim is to raise awareness amongst local women about breast cancer and the importance of early detection, to provide support to women and their families when they are diagnosed, and to raise money for our local oncologists so they can continue to improve treatment practices and outcomes for women both now and in the future.”

HOW CAN YOU BE INVOLVED?
There are lots of different ways that you can help us to help others. Have a look at how you can get involved below.
Each May, Bay Babes actively takes part in the Mother’s Day Classic fun run/walk held in the Domain, Sydney. This event raises money for breast cancer research and attracts over 12,000 participants.
Growing in size and status year on year, Bay Babes have won the award each year for the largest Community Group participating in this event, with over 700 women, men and children from the Sutherland Shire sharing in this celebratory morning together.
Bay Babes also regularly participates in several Girls Mornings In events held throughout the Shire, an annual Breast Cancer Lunch held at Doltone House, Participants at Tradies Girls Morning In. Fundraising at Southgate Shopping Centre in the pink ribbon campaign and the Gymea Village Fair.
The number of people joining Bay Babes steadily increases each year and enables us to continue to support women in our community when they need us the most. Do you want to be part of the fun? Why don’t you get in contact with us, and encourage your friends, family and colleagues to walk or run for breast cancer research this Mother’s Day.
Together, we can find a cure.
